The Northern Lights College (NLC) Space Study is an initiative to assess the institution’s existing space and provide a plan for the next 10 years.

The plan addresses current space constraints due to growing student population and demand, analyses current space needs, and evaluates and prioritizes recommendations for future development that will maximize space programming and utilization.

The campus was evaluated both with respect to campus structure and quality as well as utilization and space requirements.

Engagement was an integral part of this project, in order to develop solutions that resonated with the school’s and community’s aspirations for NLC.

Final recommendations for the plan were presented as a phased approach, offering solutions over short-term (1-2 years), mid-term (3-5 years), and long-term (5+ years) planning horizons.
