In 2020, the College entered into a contract with Thinkspace to advance the new Freda Diesing project through concept design and preliminary costing.

The college consulted several user groups and established a project steering committee comprising key stakeholders from the advisory board, artists, faculty, alumni, and senior management.

The design includes new studios/classrooms, workshops, offices, student spaces, ample storage, and a large gallery for displaying artwork.

The facility aims to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that embodies the shared vision of “Freda’s House.”

Features such as fresh air in the studios, easy outdoor access, natural light, and exposed wood contribute to a unique environment for users, complementing the distinctive curriculum and program.
