Lake Country’s Multi-generational Activity Centre (MAC) is a new three storey, 19,000 sq. ft. multi-functional building that features daycare spaces with outdoor play areas, youth activity spaces, washrooms, officed, reception, tech lab and maker lab, art studio, kitchen, and parking.
The MAC provides a centralized location for the Lake Country branch of the BGC Okanagan (Boys and Girls Club Okanagan) programs, seniors’ activities and other collaborative and sustainable community activity programming for the growing municipality.
The project also involved renovations to the Winfield Arena and Curling Club, as well as the Seniors’ Activity Centre, to improve accessibility and create a new gathering point for local area residents.
Thinkspace served as the design architect on this project, while SAHURI + Partners Architecture Inc. was the architect of record.
