New Associate Announcement – Lindsey Salter

February 22, 2024

We’re thrilled to announce that Lindsey Salter, Architect AIBC has accepted the challenge of becoming an Associate at Thinkspace.

“Lindsey has been an important part of this practice for the past four years, and we are very pleased that she will continue to develop her career with us as an Associate,” said Ray Wolfe, Partner at Thinkspace.

He went on to say, “Lindsey is a great mentor to other staff here, and has been integral in advancing a number of initiatives in the practice, not the least of which is our internal project manager training program. She’s a great team player, and embodies our core values every day.”

Lindsey has a strong commitment to design and architecture that is expressed in the projects she has been a part of since joining Thinkspace. She is currently working on two major projects: the new SĆIȺNEW̱ SṮEȽIṮḴEȽ Elementary School for School District No 62 (Sooke), and the University of the Fraser Valley Mission campus redevelopment.

The elementary school is a $40-million, highly innovative four-storey mass timber school that will be the first school of its kind in British Columbia when it opens in 2025. The Mission campus redevelopment project, which is being designed with input from the Stó:lō Nation, is a complete re-imagining of an existing two-storey classroom and admin space.

Over the course of her career, Lindsey has worked on a variety of different project typologies. She has led new build projects for commercial retail buildings, multi-family condominium buildings, a youth centre, mechanic shops, First Nation spaces, and other industrial-use buildings.

Lindsey enjoys working closely with project teams, overseeing and managing each phase and understanding what the last phase can teach her about the next opportunity. She is technically minded and approaches design through finding a balance between aesthetics, functionality, and practical solutions.

“I’m very excited to be taking my career to the next level with Thinkspace,” said Lindsey. “I’ve enjoyed my time with the team here, and have learned a lot along the way. I look forward to growing my skills and delivering more great projects in the years to come!”

Congratulations to Lindsey on this well-deserved next step in her career!
