New Associate Announcement – Brian Harvey

December 3, 2025

We are very pleased to announce that Brian Harvey, Senior Technologist (Architectural Technologist AIBC) has been made an Associate with Thinkspace. Brian joined Thinkspace more than a decade ago, and has made significant contributions to the practice in that time.

“Brian began his career at Thinkspace as summer student in the Surrey office and interviewed with me to fill the role of technologist in the Kelowna office,” commented Todd Dust, Principal at Thinkspace. “He had the intention of staying in Kelowna for a year and then moving back to the Lower Mainland, but Brian became such a valuable asset to the Kelowna office, Thinkspace, and specifically to the healthcare market sector, we convinced him to stay in the Okanagan!”

Todd went on to say, “During his tenure at Thinkspace, Brian has filled an integral role in the delivery of healthcare projects and contributed technical expertise, while simultaneously serving as a mentor to staff in both the Kelowna and Surrey studios.”

Since joining Thinkspace, Brian has been involved in a wide range of projects, including Mercedes-Benz Vancouver, Mar Jok Elementary School, Nicola Canford Elementary School, Penticton Regional Hospital Radiography Suite Renovation, Durand Manor Lounge Replacement, Trinity Baptist Church NextGen Building, Whitehorse General Hospital Mental Health Unit Expansion, University Hospital of Northern BC Facility Renewal Plan, and the Mills Memorial Hospital (Ksyen Regional Hospital) Redevelopment.

When asked about becoming an Associate at Thinkspace, Brian had the following to say: “This represents a major milestone in my architectural career and one I’ve been anticipating eagerly. It’s an honour knowing that ownership and senior staff see me as an exemplary member of the practice, value the expertise I bring, and entrust me to be a face of the practice moving forward. It is a bit of valued recognition that is greatly appreciated.”

Brian went on to say, “Over the 12 years working with Thinkspace, I’ve seen a variety of projects of an extensive range of sizes, programs, technical difficulty and detail. This experience – and versatility – are my greatest assets and I endeavor to bring that versatility to every project I have been involved with. I look forward to continuing my passionate, knowledgeable, and balanced approach to the practice, processes, and projects, working with staff of all experience levels to further expand the experience and knowledge others at Thinkspace.”

Brian is based in Thinkspace’s Kelowna studio, and is currently working on multiple projects across Western Canada.

Congratulations, Brian, on this well-deserved recognition!
