Carlos Suzara

Carlos is a young and excited recent graduate with distinction from BCIT’s Architectural and Building Technology Diploma program. He lives just down the street, a 10-minute walk from the office! Right before the COVID lockdown, he spent his practicum with Thinkspace back in March shadowing Emmanuel and interviewing some key personnel to get to know what the architectural industry is like, even getting his feet wet with some drafting and 3D modeling work. He is very interested in mass timber construction and the “wood-first” approach in construction in BC. He thinks wood is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it makes use of BC’s resources for sustainability and promotes biophilia.

Carlos draws and creates art in his spare time. He has picked up portrait and tattoo commissions, has led a public outdoor paint event, and has done caricatures for a bridal shower. He loves partner dances as well, winning gold medals for Latin ballroom. Finally, he loves to explore the outdoors with his girlfriend.
