Lindsey Salter

Lindsey was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has worked for various architectural firms in Winnipeg and as a sole proprietor for the last 10 years since completing her Masters of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design at the University of Manitoba. Lindsey has worked on a wide range of project types in both the private and public sector, new build and renovation. Her experience has been primarily focused on community, multi-family residential, commercial and industrial buildings where she has worked closely with clients and led teams from initial project conception until final project close out. Her experience includes working with provincial and federal governments on complex renovation projects as well as with community organizations, including various first nations groups in Manitoba and northwestern Ontario.
Lindsey is technically minded and strives to find balance between practical solutions and aesthetic appeal. With every project she works on, she tries to understand the position of everyone at the table; owner, engineer, contractor, authority having jurisdiction, building user and all other project team members as a way to bring value to each individual at stake. Lindsey’s interests in architecture are mainly in project management, building science, building construction & detailing and the business of architecture.
In her spare time Lindsey likes cooking, travelling, snowboarding, fitness, home renovations (Lindsey renovated her 100 year old home in Winnipeg over the last 5 years) and of course spoiling her Scottish Collie, Whiskey (cheese and ice cream connoisseur, professional cuddler, and regular dog park attendee)! Lindsey is enjoying exploring new places in BC and the warmer weather where she can run outside year round and be close to ski hills with runs that take longer than 5 minutes!
