Allan Francis

Architect AIBC, LEED AP
Senior Architect

With over 20 years of experience, Allan has had the pleasure of working on a wide variety of building types; from residential to commercial to institutional while a member of consultant, builder, compliance and consortium teams. Recent project work includes design management of the Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife and the BC Children’s and BC Women’s Teck Acute Care Centre in Vancouver; both delivered as Public/Private Partnerships.

It is this variety of design and construction typologies and responsibilities that first informed his multi-disciplinary education through civil engineering and then architecture and that continue to spark his interests in the evolving industry. This more holistic approach has also supported his interests in sustainable design; not only as recognized through LEED certification, but through other integrated project delivery models. These considerations include capital costs alongside ongoing energy consumption and facility management lifecycle costs and that can be applied to almost any scale of project.

Allan joined the Thinkspace team to contribute to the collaborative design efforts internally and with clients and consultants teams and to help ensure quality and clear deliver during the course of construction.
