Intermediate Interior Designer
We currently have an opportunity for an Intermediate Interior Designer to join our Surrey office. Under the guidance of the Interior Design Lead, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating on and leading interiors projects, including programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design and design development
- Developing space planning concepts and generating program documents
- Participating in selection of furniture systems and specifications
- Providing project team coordination for the finished plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction
- Working with clients, consultants and contractors to meet overall project objectives on schedule and within budget
- Participating in the construction administration of projects and reviewing of submittals and finish samples
- Assisting in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination
- Contributing to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs
What you need to be successful in the role:
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design from an accredited university
- 5+ years’ relevant interior design experience in Canada
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Sketch-up is required
- Strong graphic presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and experience with Bluebeam, Lumion and/or Enscape is an asset
- Solid communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Registration with, or working towards becoming a Registered Interior Designer (RID)
