Work / life balance
We appreciate the value of work / life balance at Thinkspace. People have families and friends, commitments outside of work, and interests that they like to pursue in their free time. We respect our staff's time and offer paid overtime, as well as allow schedule flexibility to make sure you can get to your appointments or pick up kids from school. Additionally, to support a good work-life balance, we encourage staff in making healthy life choices by providing an annual Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA). This can be used towards fitness and recreational related activities such as gym or yoga memberships, personal trainers, dance lessons, golf club memberships, sports team fees, and ski passes (worth up to $325 annually).
Collaboration is huge for us, and our studios feature open-concept work environments. The four partners at Thinkspace are actively involved in the design process, and they work directly with project teams all the way from project concept through to final occupancy.
We believe it's important to have fun at work, too. We held regular social events like potlucks, a summer BBQ, and an annual holiday event, and we'll be starting those up again as soon as provincial health regulations allow. Want to get outdoors with your coworkers? There's an overnight hiking and camping trip for staff and their partners that has been going on for eight years. We've also put together Sun Run teams for the last four years, and had an amazing 49 participants this past year!
