Thinkspace

University of Alberta Council Chambers

Client: University of Alberta
Location: Edmonton, AB
Overview:

The remodeling of an existing space within University Hall, to form a dedicated debating chamber for the University’s main academic governance group: the General Faculties Council.

The room is designed to seat 135 delegates, with overflow space for 35 additional participants. The relatively low ceiling height and existing structure presented the greatest challenges to achieve good sightlines and acoustics for all delegate locations from anywhere else in the room.

Each delegate position are AVIT equipped for delegate discussion, debate and voting on key issues. Presentation and agenda material will be displayed on high definition flat screens within the room, and wirelessly streamed to delegates mobile devices.
