Montecito Elementary School

Overview:
This Montecito Elementary School seismic upgrade and addition sought to address the current concerns of the existing elementary school. With an addition being added to the north end of the school, the district was able to move students into the school from the existing exterior portables.
The project received a seismic upgrade to reinforce concrete masonry walls that are predominant through the existing building.
Some minor interior work addressed existing accessibility and fire suppression issues. Upgrading the exterior façade refreshed to the aging exterior materials.
A new library within the school was a key feature in promoting diversity within the teaching environment and providing a brand new gathering place for the students to visit.
