Waste Water Treatment Plant

Client: District of Lake Country
Location: Lake Country, BC
Overview:

Renaissance – GHM Architects was asked to design a new administration building for the Waste Water Treatment Plant in Lake Country, north of Kelowna. As part of an overall upgrade to the existing waste water treatment facility, in addition to the approximately 250 sm administration building, there is also a need for space to accommodate new electrical and mechanical systems. This will be built as an extension from the existing main building.

The administration building is a combination of a two bay workshop plus a chemical storage area. The new two storey construction of the administration will include change rooms, meeting rooms, offices, a lab and a lunchroom. The building will have an industrial and modern appearance by using exterior materials like glass, concrete, steel and panels. The orientation of the building will allow for views over the entire plant from different areas of the building and will facilitate future growth of the total plant.
