Intern Architect
We are currently seeking an Intern Architect to join our team, which is based in the Surrey office. Candidates must present comprehensive and well-rounded qualifications, including:
- Self motivated with an inquisitive technical aptitude and design sense
- In-depth knowledge of building systems, including building envelope
- Understanding of / experience with sustainable design
- Ability to plan, direct, and execute a set of design, tender and construction drawings and specifications
- Contract administration experience including field reviews
- Experience leading small-medium size projects
- Ability to coordinate consultants and project teams
- Understanding of / experience with major institutional projects
What you need to be successful in the role:
- 3+ years of post-graduate experience in an architectural office in Canada
- High level of proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam on a Windows platform is required
- Proficiency in Sketchup, Photoshop, Lumion and Enscape would be an asset
- Solid communication skills for a collaborative team-based working environment
- Self starter with strong initiative and leadership abilities who can mange multiple projects and mentor junior staff
- Registration with, or eligibility to be registered with the AIBC is required
